Welcome to the VygisStories Wiki
Welcome to the living biography for my friend Vygis Campe. I'm starting this wiki as a way of collecting not only my own stories about him but also to encourage his other friends to contribute. Vygis made many friends throughout his life and had many adventures; as we've come together after his death in March 2013 we've realized that we were like stars in his universe, each previously separate but coming together realizing that we hold all the different parts of his story. I would like for this to become a place to bring those pieces together.
How to Read and/or Contribute to VygisStories
Vygis's world consisted of his own history, memories and stories, his treasured objects from his past which he attempted to preserve to the extent possible, and his friends for whom he made up nicknames by which he referred to us in his stories. This wiki collects photos and stories, and uses tagging to document how it is all linked together.
The tags are like several different tables of contents for Vygis' stories, and are grouped together according to the map below to make it possible to read this wiki according to categories. You can read entries by, or you can read according to Theme, or by Places, or browse a list of Things or Traditions. You can select stories by Author, or alternately find all the stories about a particular person by their Name or Nickname.
To contribute, just upload a photo or write a story, then link it into the categories that link stories together. Wikia has a system of tags, but they are called "categories", and we have to create the hierarchy within the tags ourselves. The categories of Year, Date, Theme, Place, Things, Author, Person, Nickname have been created for this wiki as top-level categories to contain any other category/tag we want to add to them. Thus when you have created a page, add as many lower-level tags/"categories" to it as you can from the existing set, then create any new categories that you would like and link your new categories to the top-level categories. A detailed page making guide will be coming as I myself learn more tips and tricks.
